There was a wall
With barbed wire
Between their hearts
And their desires...
There was a world
Into another
But a long road
Just drove them farther...
Farther and farther,
The ice below
Colder and colder,
Harder and harder...
Their eyes and dreams
Were places that
They both inhabited
Their ghost affair...
-Oh, blood and feathers!
Over their hearts,
A "No" was carved
In black letters...
... where neither were who they really wanted to be.
